Karen and familyKaren  Suess,  Certified  Veterinary  Technician  /  Nurse:

Hi, my name is Karen; I am one of the Certified Veterinary Technicians / Nurses here at the Wrightstown Veterinary Clinic. I attended Madison Area Technical College and received my veterinary technician degree in 1994. Shortly after graduating I passed the Wisconsin Certification exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. I am an active member of the Wisconsin Veterinary Technician Association (WVTA), along with being a member of the National Veterinary Technician Association (NVTA). In addition to assisting in surgery, my interests include caring for sick and injured animals. I look forward to helping our clients and their pets. In addition to my Veterinary Technician duties, I am the clinic handy women, repairing any thing from broken plumbing to changing the light bulbs in the cathedral ceiling in the reception area.

I reside in the Brillion area along with my husband Rob, our 2 sons (Tyler & Derek), Corgi (Corky), and a domestic shorthair cat (PD) and hamster (Bowler). For fun I enjoy fishing, hunting, camping, and spending time with my family.

Melissa  Thomaschefsky,  Certified  Veterinary  Technician  /  Nurse:

Hi there, my name is Melissa; I am a Certified Veterinary Technician/ Nurse here at the Wrightstown Veterinary Clinic. I received my veterinary technician degree after graduating from Madison Area Technical College in 1992. In the summer of 1993, I passed the Wisconsin Certification exam. I am also an active member of the WVTA and NVTA. You may wonder what exactly a Veterinary Technician does, we do it all except for performing surgery, diagnosing animals illnesses and prescribing medication. The education I received and the years of experience I have acquired from working veterinary field enables me to help you and your pets. My interests include client education, laboratory work, caring for hospitalized animals, and assisting in surgery. I also have been known to help with our network of computers with the help of my husband.

I reside in the Darboy area with my husband Jason, our two kids (Lauren & Garrett), golden retriever (Sawyer), co-owned beagle (Willie), iguana (Guanaman), polish / mini lob bunny (Stanley), mini lop mix bunny (Sophie) and in spirit  black lab (Sara) who was put to sleep in Nov 2010 after finding a cancerous stomach tumor that was unable to be removed.  Between the human kids, the furry kids and the variety of foster animals,  I am a busy girl, but enjoy every minute. In my spare time I like downhill skiing, biking, hiking, and working with computers.
